Swimming & Commuting.

I had thought that today may be my first day for giving thebike a 12mile road trip to work and back, but from nowhere the temperature hasnow dropped to below freezing again.
Even the veteran bike riders came into work today sayingthat it was too bloody cooled to ride. So I’m really glad I didn’t make todaymy first day of commuting.  

Today was my first day of swimming.  It’s not like I have never swam before and I considermyself a pretty strong swimmer but today was the first day I planned to do itfor fitness.
I was there for an hour so my plan was to just see how manylengths I could do in that time.  I had notplanned to do it non-stop of even flat out just to get used to it again.

The pool was 30m long and I actually swam 18 lengths making the total distance of just 540meters.  I did the first 15length in one go and then did the rest just playing around and chatting.

Noting the following distances I have a ways to go.

So I basically did a super sprint distance straight off.

I enjoyed it and plan to do it every week, I used to be amember of a diving club and they take over this pool every Monday so its costsme just £2 to swim so its ideal.

If it hadn’t been for the weather I would have been able toRun-Ride and swim today.  Let’s see whathappens next week.
